En este ensayo se incluyen varias especies diferentes que se agrupan aquí por su similitud en el comportamiento general: Festulolium (híbrido Inter-específico entre raigrás y festuca); Bromus catharticus o cebadilla, Holcus lanatus, Lolium hybridum y Lolium multiflorum. Estas especies tienen ciertas diferencias en su curva de crecimiento y el análisis de los resultados requiere un cuidado especial.
El ensayo de 2008 comprendió 18 cultivares y se sembró el 9 de abril en condiciones de sequía y tuvo un riego de 20 mm el 17 de abril para favorecer su emergencia. El primer corte se logró el 10 de julio y con una baja producción. Se obtuvieron 5 cortes en total con una muy buena producción total considerando la falta de agua durante todo el período de crecimiento otoño-invierno-primavera.
La producción de segundo año del ensayo sembrado en 2007 estuvo afectada por la sequía, especialmente en su distribución: se lograron sólo 2 cortes en la primavera. El otoño 2007 había sido lluvioso en marzo y luego muy frío el otoño-invierno obteniéndose solamente 3 cortes de forraje para este ensayo en su primer año.
